Approved Gas Tester
This interactive one (1) day course is the first (1st) course in the SEATAG Approved Gas Tester training suite.
This course has been designed to meet the training demands of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 APP B, Level One (1) – Authorised Gas Tester.
Meets the requirements of SEATAG approved Training Package – Category C and has been designed to meet the training demands of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 APP B.
This face-to-face interactive training session has been designed principally as a tool for the transfer of information that is required to obtain an understanding of confined space hazards, types of gases, behaviour of gases, flammable gases and extinguishing mediums, effective ventilation techniques, pre-use checks of gas detection units, correct identification and operation of unit components, correct procedures in conducting gas tests in confined spaces, correct procedures for conducting gas tests in open areas, prior to hot work being carried out, identification of the different modes of operation and alarms, after use maintenance of gas units and proficiency in the use of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
There are no specific requirements for entry into this course other than the delegate being over eighteen (18) years of age and the presentation of their passport of copy thereof.

METHOD OF TRAINING
Face-to-Face Training – Classroom Type (Onshore or Onboard) – Course
